Founders Amalia Sancha and Wade Hatler had developed a slick, dictation-based clinical workflow product to help simplify the process of charting and documentation for radiation oncologists. Amalia and Wade were pretty much doing it all and beginning to bring on more operational help to better support their installed base and scale the business.
They knew they didn’t have the resources to invest in a big marketing campaign and certainly couldn’t hire a dedicated marketing team, but they were also at the stage of the business where they recognized they needed more commercial support. Wade answered a targeted G3 outreach email.
After an initial brainstorming session, they agreed to work with G3 on a small brand lift and the development of some additional sales collateral and case studies. Although it was a relatively small project, it was a big investment for them at the time.
The initial Palabra logo was surrounded by a colorful parrot character, which they felt highlighted not only the dictation capabilities of their software but also a playfulness that was important to their brand.
G3 immersed ourselves in their business objectives and product and pushed them to consider ways that they could stay true to their essence, while also elevating the aesthetic. We worked with their existing color palette and dictation/parrot concept to evolve the look and provided many designs for consideration. In the end, they chose a modern design that was not only professional but also approachable.
The new branding was just the start. We continued to work on collateral and campaign execution. We also analyzed their sales funnel and offered insights on how they could maximize their sales approach. This work lead Wade and Amalia to decide to ultimately outsource all marketing and sales to G3 so they could continue to focus on operations and support. Having a fractional sales and marketing team was exactly what they needed. The G3 team organized their CRM, created new sales generation strategies, set up processes for lead nurturing, and began closing deals.
Ultimately, Palabra Apps was acquired by Elekta a few years after work with G3 began.
